AEGIS Q-2218 Instruction Manual (V1.1, PDF)
Before first use
Inspect for transport damage, remove packaging, wash the jug, lid and accessories in warm water with mild detergent, and wipe the motor base with a soft damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base.
Care and cleaning
The jug is not dishwasher safe; never soak the jug or blade assembly. To clean, half-fill the jug with warm water, add 2–3 drops of mild washing-up liquid, fit the lid, then blend for 30–60 seconds, starting at a low speed and increasing to high.
Quick troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Blender will not start | No mains power | Check the appliance is plugged into a suitable mains outlet and switched on. |
| Blender will not start | Sound enclosure not fully closed | Ensure the sound enclosure is completely closed. The safety interlock must be engaged before the blender will operate. |
| Blender stops during operation | Overload or thermal protection activated | Switch off the blender, disconnect from the mains and allow it to cool. Reduce the load before restarting. |
| Poor blending performance | Ingredients too large or insufficient liquid | Cut ingredients into smaller pieces, add more liquid if required, or select a higher blending speed. |
| Excessive vibration or movement | Blender jug not correctly fitted | Stop the blender and ensure the jug is correctly seated on the motor base before restarting. |
| Blade assembly difficult to turn | Food residue or normal wear | Clean the blade assembly thoroughly. If the blade remains stiff, remove it using the Aegis Blade Removal Tool and replace if necessary. |
| Leak from the blade assembly | Blade assembly worn or damaged | Stop using the blender and replace the blade assembly with a genuine Aegis replacement part. |
| Unusual noise during operation | Worn blade assembly or foreign object in the jug | Stop the blender immediately. Remove any obstruction and inspect the blade assembly for damage before further use. |
| Programme cannot be edited | Fixed programme selected | Only P1–P4 are user-programmable. S1–S4 are factory preset programmes and cannot be modified. |
Programming P1–P4
Press and hold P1–P4 until it beeps, set the speed (1–9) and time (1–60 seconds) for each stage, press the button again to move to the next stage (up to 6), then press and hold to save. To restore factory settings, press and hold P1 and P2 together until it beeps.
